Today marks the 145th observance of
Canada Day, celebrating the unification of several colonies into the single nation of
Canada within the
British Empire. The last remnants of British Parliamentary control were surrendered in 1982 with the patriation of the Canadian Constitution. Cheers to our good friend to the north, with whom we share the world's longest undefended border, as well as
Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park. Long may our friendship thrive.
