ONE OF THOSE DAYS, PART II
















this particular wave won't drown you, so much as enchant you. the wind-and-water-eroded sandstone layers of paria canyon, laid down over geologic time as successive seas deposited silt, dried up, and then reformed, ultimately leaving behind an arid chronostratigraphic wonderland. just please, do not get caught down there during the monsoon season. flash floods come ripping down faster than a horse can run, and when that moving wall of roiling water hits you, you will perish.
